The Anzota Caves
The Anzota Caves are located about 12 kilometers south of Arica, in the coastal sector of Ancota. These stunning rock formations, naturally carved by the action of the sea and wind, were once inhabited by the Chinchorro culture, known for creating the oldest mummies in the world. Today, a well-prepared trail allows visitors to explore the caves, enjoy panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, and observe sea lions and seabirds that thrive in the area.
