Villarrica Volcano
Villarrica Volcano, located in the Araucanía Region, is one of the most active volcanoes in South America and a symbol of southern Chile. With its snow-capped cone and smoking crater, it towers over the lake district and draws thousands of visitors each year.
Climbing to the crater with a guide is a unique experience, offering panoramic views and sometimes the sight of glowing lava. In winter, its slopes become a ski resort. The volcano is part of Villarrica National Park, which also features hiking trails, native forests, and lagoons.
