Alerce Costero National Park
Alerce Costero National Park, located in the Los Ríos and Los Lagos regions, protects one of Chile’s most ancient ecosystems: the millennia-old alerce (Fitzroya) forests. Some trees are over 3,000 years old, standing as living witnesses to the past.
The park features trails such as "Los Alerces" and "Mirador del Abuelo," where visitors can admire these towering trees alongside rivers, wetlands, and native wildlife like the pudú and the monito del monte. It’s an ideal destination for ecotourism, hiking, and deep immersion in pristine nature.
