Cariquima

Cariquima is a small highland village located over 3,700 meters above sea level, in the commune of Colchane, Tarapacá region, Chile. Known for its strong Aymara heritage, it preserves traditional cultural, religious, and agricultural practices. Its church, built in the 17th century and declared a National Monument, is one of its main heritage attractions. Surrounded by mountain scenery and highland pastures, Cariquima is a destination that embodies the identity and way of life of Andean communities.
