Guanaqueros and Totoralillo
Guanaqueros and Totoralillo are two beach resorts located in Chile’s Coquimbo Region, south of La Serena and Coquimbo. They are known for their calm waters, warm climate, and scenic coastlines—perfect for relaxation and family tourism.
Guanaqueros is a traditional fishing village with a wide bay and gentle waves, ideal for swimming, kayaking, or boat rides. The town has a strong connection to artisanal fishing and offers excellent seafood in its local markets and restaurants. It’s a peaceful, laid-back spot popular with families in summer.
Totoralillo is smaller and more picturesque, featuring white sand, turquoise waters, and a rocky peninsula that divides the beach into two sections. It’s perfect for sunbathing, enjoying the view, or engaging in activities like surfing and snorkeling. Though more compact, it has cabins, eateries, and facilities for day visitors.
Both beaches offer a natural, peaceful atmosphere with good accessibility, making them excellent alternatives to the urban beaches of La Serena and Coquimbo.
