Museo de Sitio Colón
The Museo de Sitio Colón 10 is located in Arica, at the foot of Morro de Arica, on Colón Street 10. It houses human remains from the Chinchorro Culture, dated between 3,700 and 4,000 years ago, discovered in 2004 during excavations. Due to the fragility of the mummies, they are preserved in situ and can be viewed through a glass platform. The museum is managed by the University of Tarapacá and represents an important archaeological and cultural site.
