Patagonia National Park

Patagonia National Park, located in Chile’s Aysén Region, is one of the most ambitious conservation projects in South America. Created through a partnership between the Chilean government and Tompkins Conservation, it merges the former Valle Chacabuco ranch with Jeinimeni and Tamango national reserves to form an ecological corridor exceeding 300,000 hectares.
The park protects a mosaic of Patagonian ecosystems: steppe grasslands, Andean forests, wetlands, and rugged mountain ranges. It is home to diverse native wildlife, including guanacos, pumas, Andean condors, culpeo foxes, and the endangered huemul deer. Its landscapes are vast and varied, ranging from golden plains to turquoise lakes and snowy peaks.
With well-marked trails, eco-friendly lodges, and designated campsites, the park offers a world-class hiking and nature experience. Its infrastructure reflects a deep commitment to sustainability and fosters a tourism model aligned with conservation and education.
